Project
Manager for the deployment and change management of Graphnet’s Electronic
Patient Record with a team of up to 12 in-house staff plus suppliers (Graphnet,
Clinisys, NPfIT/LPfIT, BT CCA, Anglia, iSoft, Lifeline, Dendrite, Medcon,
Telepath, Jaeger, Siemens, Agfa, HSS & Infoflex). The Electronic Patient
Record is now rolled out across 2000 desks with 800 active users, and with
interfaces to many systems. The project has involved:
Listening to users,
agreeing specifications for user and messaging interfaces, change management,
task management, risk analysis/management, reporting progress, recruitment,
issues tracking, managing sub-projects, take-on data, user acceptance testing,
creating training, Intranet & P.R. material, operational support, managing
suppliers, reviewing SLAs and maintenance agreements, reviewing user
statistics, commissioning a 2-node server platform, reviewing backup and
disaster recovery policy and procedures, arranging an escrow agreement,
hardware review, integration engine configuration, creation of a run-book,
support guide and other documentation, remote support, representation on governance committees.
Updated the Otters
program & attended Risk Management and ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
training courses.

Technical Project
Manager for the European funded Link3d project. Analysed security of the
shareboard software being produced. Programmed part of the system in C++ using
the openSSL library; supervised other software classes. Represented the company across Europe.

Management and Account Lead of website specification, programming, testing
& deployment for a number of clients including:
a) Dutch Genie –
Managed 5 programmers creating of the Dutch Genie web portal, including news
feeds, texting & the secure interface to the ringtones site, hosted on
Solaris, using Perl5, ApacheSSL, C++, PGP & mySQL database.
b) Film casino – supervised 2 programmers refining the
online investment system, hosted on FreeBSD, using Perl5, ApacheSSL & mySQL
database.
Role included: Project/Job tracking using MS Project etc,
specification, programming, testing and deployment, programmer recruitment,
monitoring and appraisal.

Key work on European
funded Prestige medical informatics project (Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 GUI
including ATL/COM; Object database work with Oracle/SQL). Enhanced Medical
Informatics Application and Medical Code/protocol editors. Represented the European Prestige project in
Lisbon, delivering a paper on the ATL/COM interfaces.
Year 2000 compliance,
remediation and certification to BS standard for: patient details, equipment
loan, medical guideline editing and medial protocol systems.

financial institutions:
Managed 5 programmers
developing a Dealing Room Keyboard and Video Switching System, deployed at SBC

Oriented database. Trained installers and users. Managed programmers who customised
keyboard software.
Reuter’s Dealing 2000 fed callout system (TCP/IP based), for UBS New York, developed in Visual C++.

Developed a Graphical
keyboard configuration application, for Bear Stearns N.Y. using Sunsoft C++ on
Solaris.
